18U Champions – Philadelphia Jr Flyers
After 3 days of fast-paced, hard-hitting hockey, the Tier 1 Elite League is proud to announce the 18U season champions, the Philadelphia Jr Flyers!! The Flyers faced the Chicago Fury in the finals at the Schwann Super Rink in Blaine, MN.
The Flyers took a quick lead in the contest, jumping to 2-0 in the first. Mid-way through the second, the Flyers added two more to the total giving them a strong lead going into the third. The Fury snuck one past the Flyer’s tender mid-way through the third period, bringing the game closer and making for some exciting final minutes of play. Despite significant pressure, the Flyers held on and finished the contest emerging as the 18U Champions of the Blaine Playoffs.
Congratulations to the Philadelphia Jr Flyers on cinching the 2023 Commissioner’s Cup!!! Congratulations to both teams on an excellent season, and a fantastic conclusion to a hard-played weekend! Where do you go from here? Everywhere.
