Ohio AAA Blue Jackets Player Joins Swedish National Team
T1EHL congratulates Ohio AAA Blue Jackets 16U defenseman Sascha Boumedienne on joining the Swedish U16 National Team at the 3 Nations Tournament in Novy Jicin, Czechia this week.
Boumedienne will play four games in total, which includes a pair of games against rival Finland and host Czechia.
A highly dynamic, smooth-skating defenseman, he currently leads the 16U team in scoring as an underage player. Through 45 games this season, he has tallied 9 goals and 31 assists for 40 points.
Earlier this season, Boumedienne signed a tender with the Youngstown Phantoms (USHL) for the 2023-24 season.
