16U Champions – Dallas Stars Elite
Congratulations to the Dallas Stars Elite, the 2023 Tier 1 Elite Hockey League U16 Playoff Champions!! The Stars proved to be the best of the best in the Playoff contest with the game-winning goal coming in the overtime 3 on 3. The championship game between the Stars and the Celveland Jr Barons was the culmination of a fantastic weekend of hockey. The Barons led by 1 late in the 3rd, making it a tight and exciting final minute of play, but the Stars popped a tieing goal pushing the contest into overtime. With some real nail-biting back and forth, the Stars made a break on a 2 on 1 and clinched the title with a memorable tally.
These teams pushed the envelope and gave the crowd something to stand on edge for, making this an incredible conclusion to an exceptional weekend of play. Congratulations to both teams on an excellent season, and a fantastic conclusion to a hard-played weekend!
