Little Caesars powered their way to victory over the Cleveland Barons in 11U Larkin Division championship
Little Caesars powered their way to a 6-1 victory over the Cleveland Barons in the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League 11U Larkin Division Championship on December 15 at Belle Tire Arena. With a balanced offensive attack and stellar goaltending, Little Caesars secured the title.
The first period saw Little Caesars set the tone early, with Davis Detter (#12) opening the scoring off an assist from Enzo Pacioretty (#67). Nathan Wilson (#29) followed up minutes later, assisted by Pacioretty and Kasen Pusateri (#90), giving Little Caesars a 2-0 lead at the intermission.
Cameron Coombe (#34) extended the lead in the second period with a goal assisted by Detter. Shortly after, Pusateri capitalized on a feed from Parker Miller (#61) to make it 4-0. The Barons responded late in the second period with a goal from Thomas Goebel (#6), briefly closing the gap, but it wasn’t enough to shift the momentum.
In the final period, Coombe added another goal, this time assisted by Colin Kim (#21). Kim then capped the scoring with a goal of his own, assisted by Luke Merdinian (#66), sealing the win for Little Caesars.
Goaltender Vincent Sladich (#35) was a wall in net for Little Caesars, stopping 39 of 40 shots in a standout performance. Despite a strong effort from Cleveland’s offense, which fired 40 shots on goal, they were unable to crack Sladich consistently.
Little Caesars showcased their depth and lifted the Larkin Division Championship trophy to conclude an incredible weekend of competitive hockey for the Tier 1 Elite League.
