Ducks Take the 13O Connor Division Title!!

DETROIT, MI – In a high-powered offensive showcase, the Anaheim Jr. Ducks captured the 13O Connor Division Championship, defeating the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals by a score of 8-4 on December 7 at the Belle Tire arena. Fueled by a standout performance from Gavin Reskey (#97) and a relentless second-period attack, the Ducks pulled away and never looked back, claiming the Tier 1 Elite League playoff victory with authority.

First Period – Ducks Set the Tone

Anaheim opened the scoring at 4:15 (10:45 remaining) when Gavin Reskey (#97) buried the first goal of the game off assists from Adrian Guerrero (#12) and Jayhe Lee (#2), giving the Ducks a 1-0 lead.

Milwaukee answered at 11:43 (3:17 remaining) with a goal from Oliver Copeland (#5), assisted by Calvin Lehnen (#3) and Taylor Farquhar (#21), tying the game at 1-1 heading into the break.

Second Period – Anaheim Breaks It Open

The Ducks exploded for four goals in the second period, beginning with Colton Allison (#41) scoring at 0:49 (14:11 remaining) off feeds from Guerrero and Joseph Zhou (#5) to make it 2-1.

Zhou then added a goal of his own at 4:37 (10:23 remaining), assisted by Robert MacKay (#61) and Guerrero, before Allison scored again just 21 seconds later to extend the lead to 4-1.

Milwaukee stopped the bleeding temporarily at 6:29 (8:31 remaining) with a goal from Landon Bell (#12), assisted by Mason Wills (#2) and Austin Nygard (#6).

Moments later, Aaron Zhou (#7) added another at 6:48 (8:12 remaining) with help from Jacob Quire (#24) and Jayhe Lee, capping off a dominant run and giving Anaheim a commanding 5-2 lead.

Milwaukee’s Bell followed it up with an unassisted tally at 8:10 (6:50 remaining) to bring the Admirals back within two at 5-3.

But Anaheim had an answer once again: Reskey (#97) scored his second of the game at 10:24 (4:36 remaining) with assists from Allison and Lee to give the Ducks a 6-3 cushion entering the final frame.

Third Period – Ducks Close the Deal

Reskey completed his hat trick at 2:01 (12:59 remaining) on another dazzling play, assisted by Guerrero and MacKay, putting Anaheim up 7-3.

The Ducks added one more insurance goal when Guerrero finally got one of his own at 10:29 (4:31 remaining), finishing off assists from Reskey and Joseph Zhou.

Milwaukee tallied a late goal at 11:10 (3:50 remaining) courtesy of Sullivan Schroeder (#7), assisted by Copeland and Lehnen, but the outcome was already out of reach as Anaheim closed out the game with a confident 8-4 win.
