Jr Flyers Crowned Champ in the 11U Slavin Division
DETROIT, MI – The Philadelphia Jr. Flyers 11U team captured the 2025 Slavin Division Championship with a sharp and disciplined performance, defeating the Washington Little Capitals 3-1 on December 14 at the Tittle Brothers Construction rink. All four goals came in a wild second period, with the Jr. Flyers controlling the momentum early and never letting go.
Philadelphia’s scoring opened at 3:42 into the second period (11:18 remaining) when Blake Daugherty (#26) capitalized on a strong zone entry, firing one past the Washington goaltender to give the Flyers a 1-0 lead . Just one minute later, at 4:42 into the period (10:18 remaining), Bennett Krysiak (#17) made it 2-0, finishing a play with helpers from Jack White (#88) and Brockton Jason (#72) .
The Flyers extended their lead to 3-0 at 8:47 into the period (6:13 remaining) as Jack White (#88) added a goal of his own, with an assist from Daugherty (#26) to cap off the Flyers’ scoring burst .
Washington finally responded with 11:44 gone in the period (3:16 remaining), when Liam Madden (#34) broke through off assists from Landon Ortiz (#27) and Jack Taylor (#92) to cut the deficit to 3-1 . The Capitals pushed hard in the third and even called a timeout at 4:27 remaining, but the Jr. Flyers defense held strong and closed out the win.
Goaltender Brockton Jason (#72) was steady in net, stopping 27 of 28 shots and anchoring the Flyers’ effort, while the Capitals’ Jackson Tidman (#16) faced 28 shots and kept the game within reach despite Philadelphia’s quick-strike offense.
With this performance, the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers 11U squad proved they were ready for the big moment, skating away as 2025 Slavin Division Champions after a complete team victory on championship day.
