Tier 1 Elite Hockey League

18U Champions – Sioux Falls Power

After 3 days of fast-paced, hard-hitting hockey, the Tier 1 Elite League is proud to announce the 2024 18U season champions, the Sioux Falls Power!! The Power faced the Phoenix Jr Coyotes in the finals at the Schwann Super Rink in Blaine, MN.

The Power took the first lead in the contest, taking a 1-0 in the second. The Coyotes answered back at the start of the third, leaving an exciting 3rd period of back-and-forth hockey. With no winner at the end of three, the contest moved into the first, then the second OT of 3-on-3 hockey.

The Coyotes put pressure on the Power, but the Power’s tender came up with some big saves. A quick transition in the Power’s zone gave an odd man rush, where the Power’s Hunter Heisten popped one past the Yotes, cinching the Tier 1 Elite League U18 Championship Title.

Congratulations to the Sioux Falls Power on taking the 2024 Commissioner’s Cup!!! Both teams had an excellent season and delivered a fantastic conclusion to a hard-played weekend!

Where do you go from here? Everywhere.
